Listening to our body!

Hi everyone...we hope you had a lovely summer... and we wish you a happy Autumn!

This month we focus on listening to our body. Our immune system is responsible for protecting our body from environmental threats, especially during the upcoming flu season. In order to do so, the immune system uses a variety of cells, tissues, and organs, many of which are shared by other body systems. Our first line of defense is our skin. It acts as a barrier that keeps invaders out. Mucous membranes in our nose, mouth, and throat also protect our body from invaders by trapping potential threats and keeping them from getting the body. 

Keeping our immune system functioning properly depends on many things, including getting enough sleep, regular exercise, eating a balanced diet and using supplementation to provide the nutrients that are no longer available in our food chain.

We are huge believers in using a proactive approach to boosting our immune system - and for this we need to listen to our bodies. Making sure we keep our bodies healthy, especially when the seasons change, instead of just reacting to environmental threats when they get past our weakened defense system.
